These are “loose leaf” Impulse Response files and can be used in any convolution plugin that supports importing 96/24 stereo wav files. When we record IRs, we try to grab numerous “snapshots” of the room and adjoining rooms, halls, stairwells, smaller pocket spaces, etc originating from the original impulse. While these impulse responses might not be listed as additional spaces, they are none the less included and do sound different than the original spaces recorded for a wide array of convolution spaces, tone, reflective walls, and robust creativity and flexibility.

Pack 7 – 96/24 includes 45 files at 71 megs with 5 unique spaces. Nice assortment of silky sounding larger spaces, along with medium sized auditoriums. Large variety of micing techniques and placements with many different applications in productions.
Pack 8 – 96/24 includes 68 files at 42 megs with 18 unique spaces. Airplane Interiors and Hangers. Numerous aircraft interiors with many impulse response placements, including cockpits, main cabins, bathrooms, rear luggage compartments and more.

With a variety of different types of real spaces, our Packs really do have something for everyone. Anything from light reflections, to darker spaces, to light and airy. Impulse Record Now started with real spaces, because, let’s face it, real spaces are much more difficult to record than DSP gear, and with great reverb tails, are prized among producers, but we love vintage DSP reverb as much as you do and you can be sure they’re in upcoming Packs.
